Making Space in Dalston
A number of ‘micro-projects’ have been commissioned to assist in opening-up and revitalising existing sites in and around Dalston, Hackney.
We provided civil and structural engineering services for several of these projects including the Dalston Gatehouse, a timber pavilion forming an entrance, nursery and shelter for newly-created community gardens on the site of the disused Eastern Curve railway line.
Other projects include the opening up of the Rhodes Estate using light touches such as the removal of barriers and installation of a raised table to improve the pedestrian connectivity between the estate and the surrounding areas.
