The critical success factors for projects and the conditions in which they are delivered become ever more sophisticated. Increasingly demanding and knowledgeable end users, higher environmentally sustainable criteria and greater regulation combine to create a sensitive commercial landscape. Progressive designers cannot just respond to these conditions; they need to remain in front, generating new ideas and being prepared to invest the time in developing these ideas from first principles. We have focused on who, where and how to do this.

PEOPLE - We provide a friendly, personal service from a team of committed and enthusiastic individuals.  Our team take the time to understand our clients and craft our service to suit our clients’ needs. We are able to respond quickly and at a senior level because of our size and structure.  We are not constrained by a large corporate system, which enables us to be very open in our thinking and independent in the advice we give.

PLACE – The places and spaces we occupy to undertake our work are open and freely interactive. Our two offices operate as one studio in two locations sharing computer systems and resources. These conditions are essential to support the sharing of knowledge, providing the means for incidental conversations that can spring up around a typical idea, which may sharpen it into a targeted proposal.

PROCESS – Like all successful businesses we are acutely aware of commercial drivers when developing and delivering projects. An advancing, well managed and intelligent process is the framework underpinning a successful project.  As part of this process we recognise the substantial benefit that creating thinking space or a clearing in the process can have, allowing the appropriate time to explore and test a range of ideas before closing down options and committing to a particular solution. This involves listening, researching, learning, understanding, questioning, discussing, writing, designing, managing, drawing and implementing.
